Light Painting (2016 - 2023)

In this interactive installation, viewers become artists as they 'paint' on a shared canvas with their light devices. A sensor that captures light sources translate viewers' movements into lasting light streaks on a projected screen, resulting in an ephemeral co-created light painting that can exist only because of the viewers.
Light Painting was presented at Playeum's The Art of Speed exhibition (2016), at their previous centre at Gillman Barracks, Singapore. It was subsequently installed on-site at several events, including Superhero Me's PLAYLABS workshop (2019), and SUSS x Playeum's PLAY Festival (2023).

Light Painting was also featured in a collaboration with Khmer dancer Prumsodun Ok, titled Body of Light (2018). Find out more here.
