>input>output presents a holistic experience of an interactive installation artist's practice. Exhibited alongside the completed artworks is the art-making process in its various forms – sketches, scribbles, schematics, and the work-in-progress.
>input>output was presented from 3 - 12 March 2023 at Art Outreach Singapore as part of the HEARTH community art space initiative. It is produced in collaboration with Ngiam Li Yi.

- The exhibition name refers to the fundamental process behind creating interactive installations with electronics – inputting commands and outputting designed outcomes. It can also refer to the act of interacting – the participant inputs an action and receives an output effect.
- Upon entry, visitors are greeted with a table filled with an assortment of tools and electronics. The table serves as a mini studio during the exhibition period, drawing attention to the art-making process.
- The exposure of the artist's workings is further extended by the display of selected pages from his notebooks, which feature his scribbles and written thoughts.
- Experience cards, which prompt viewers on how to interact with the works and detail the stories behind each piece, are also provided for viewers who choose to explore the show on their own.
>input>output features six interactive installations – two are freshly produced in 2023 for the exhibition, and the rest are re-created for site-specificity.
